Batteries
UPS batteries are a chemical energy storage devices that will deteriorate over time. 
They have a designed life based on optimum site and load conditions. Typically a five year design life battery will probably require replacement within year 4, and a ten year design life battery within year 7. Whilst many UPS and standby battery systems automatically test their batteries, TSE would also recommend a visual inspection and on-site testing.
Our UK Wide testing and replacement service provides on-site testing to check and report on the performance and condition of the battery set. During testing we will check individual block condition as well as the total battery capacity and the remaining reliable operational life. A full load bank discharge test can be carried out also.
TSE Battery system plans are tailored towards the types of batteries used within UPS and Standby battery Systems. These plans are normally included as part of a UPS Maintenance Contract but can be purchased as a one off service.The battery service normally includes a minimum of one visit per year (and up to 1,000 blocks per day). This can be increased to two, three or four visits for mission critical sites. The visits are typically scheduled for normal working hours with options for outside hours and weekend work.

TSE Power are licensed by the Environment Agency to carry Hazardous Waste
and we can provide you with a duty of care disposal note when we remove your old failed batteries. All our failed batteries eventually go to be recycled and a duty of care paper trail can be followed from your premises to the recycling plant.
We are happy to supply you with a "one off" battery or a complete set.We can even increase your autonomy by adding extra parallel sets to your existing system complete with additional charging facilities if required. We have some of the best prices on Replacement Battery Cartridges "RBC" for the most common ups units. These are normally available on the next business day if ordered prior to 3pm.
